Library

The school library is the core of a PYP school that engages students as critical thinkers with developing views of their own. It plays a vital role in support of the values, goals and pathways stated in the ISC Mission by:

• Promoting information literacy and encouraging a lifelong love for reading, viewing and listening
• Ensuring that students and staff are effective, critical and ethical users of ideas and information

Early year children have regular visits to become familiar with the world of books. In the primary school, children learn to use the library in a more systematic way, for pleasure and for a variety of information.

The library is situated on the ground floor of our facility. It currently houses the collection and offers classroom research facilities as well as a presentation room.

Library services are provided by a teacher-librarian as well as by trained volunteers.
